THE BRIEF

A full brand identity and collateral system for The Cedar — a low-density luxury residence of 60 apartments and 10 penthouses in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, designed by Hamiltons International.

BEYOND THE LUXURY CLICHÉ

A low-density, 70-home development competing in KL's luxury market can't win on scale or amenity count — it needs to signal restraint and material quality instead, in a category that too often defaults to gold-and-marble clichés.

MATERIAL HONESTY

Confidence relies on genuine materials rather than decorative elements. Converting the building's natural materials—such as stone, timber, and glass—into the brand's representations makes the architectural promise tangible even before entry.

BRAND IDENTITY

A wood-grain agate texture paired with restrained, gold-foil–embossed serif type, established on the brochure cover and carried through to branded gift packaging.

PRINT & COLLATERAL

Sales brochure and floor plan collateral, coordinating directly with paper merchants and print vendors on production — brochure spreads pair full-bleed interior photography with short, restrained copy blocks, plus a dark-toned location map.

MICROSITE

A microsite translating the same material language — dark green, gold accents, wood-grain texture — into a scrollable homepage and interior gallery experience.

HOARDING

Hoarding design carrying "Life On Your Terms" against the same wood-grain texture, sited directly on the development's street frontage.

OUTCOME

A material-driven brand system that utilises a cohesive visual language of wood-grain, agate texture, and gold foil. This consistent application spans the brochure, floor-plan collateral, gift packaging, hoarding, and microsite, ensuring that all touchpoints reflect the building's sense of restraint and craftsmanship.
